“You never really know for sure how people feel about you or your relationships. Especially in the sometimes hostile political climate of our state, as a member of the LGBTQ community, it’s easy to feel defensive when I’m out in public. Every time I see one of the Welcoming signs, it puts me at ease and makes me really happy. I really can’t even put into words how much I appreciate seeing the signs around town and knowing that my community is more inclusive and accepting with each new sign I see.
